Diecast Brands

hello there. did you miss my blog? hehehehe. :D

anyways, i made this entry for the reason just to make my presence felt
once again after a long while and after an enjoyment of reading the blogs of friends.

the last time, i promised to make lots of blogs . but unfortunately, it is only now that i blog again.

so, what should i blog? hmmm...let me think.

ahhh! i was reviewing my excel file of diecast inventory a few minutes ago. and i came to ponder, they where categorized by scale, by brand, by car/line, by color...etc.

on this, let me concentrate on brands. so, what brand/s of diecast do i collect?

for 1:18 scale i got...

1) kyosho
2) auto art
3) minichamps
4) hot wheels

5) maisto
6) burago

when will i have those bbr's and exoto's? i don't know but hopefully soon. :D

and for the small ones...

1) kyosho / kyosho beads

2) matchbox
3) hot wheels

4) welly

5) cararama

6) johnny lightning

7) greenlight
8) tomica

9) siku
10) jada
11) corgi

12) tiger
13) majorette
14) realtoy
15) norev
16) shelby collectibles

17) ertl
18) ixo

19) smart
20) muscle machine

from the second list of brands, i say hot wheels got the bulk of my collections and matchbox roughly in second as johnny lightning is also close.

after this, i thought i might take photos of this inventory since
this blog is absent of any photo. ;)

now, how about you? what brand/s of diecast do you collect?

thanks for reading and see you again on my next blog. promise. :D

Blogging Lull

It's been quite awhile since I post a blog. I've been busy at work and have no time for other activities (reviewing my hauls, taking pictures, arrange cars on the display cab...etc) during weekdays. And on weekends, I'm always out of the house most of the time. So, die cast blog related activities are been relegated to the back seat.

But when I read blogs of friends, I felt I have to put this entry just to make my blogging presence felt.

I really do miss blogging.

Hopefully by next week, when I get a weeks vacation during the Lenten season. I can make inventory and take some pictures of my accumulated 2009 first quarter die cast hauls and blog all I can. ;)

Now, here's the latest but sad news from our local die cast scene, another die cast specialty shop (Classic Scales 18) will be closing down due to the global financial crisis. A CS18 staff had sent me an SMS announcing the terrible news that they will be closing shop for good by the end of March 2009. Last month it was Uncle Johnny's (UJ) and now CS18. Who'll be the next?

I guess I have to say "Goodbye" to my favorite Kyosho and Autoart store. Most of my 1:18s came from them. I hope when the economy is OK again, CS18 will be back with a vengeance. Thanks for the tip Lhen.

So, have you been blogging lately?

La Stalla di TiNiO

The week of Christmas 2008, my two brothers received the delivery of their glass cabinets. And when I laid my eyes on them, whoa!!! I was impressed! It was nicely crafted, I felt the urge that it's time for me to order one for myself.

Unfortunately when I placed my order, it was already the long holidays and the supplier doesn't have enough materials to put it up together. He said, I had to wait for about a week or two.

So last weekend, my first display cabinet was delivered. :)

From the pickup cab...
...being carried towards our house...
...setting it up on it's designated location...
...installing the replacement mirror on top (uniformed along with the cabinets)...
...the cabinet fitted on its place...
Here are the contents. My Ferrari MSC F1 and Red Road Cars.
...a closer look...
It was my first time to put my collections and I didn't realized it would be very tiring, difficult and confusing all at the same time which one goes where.

But it was a lot of fun while placing each car and arranging them. After all the arrangements, I felt great relief and satisfaction.

Btw, you may view the complete album here. Thanks for lookin'. ;)

So, I hope I can sustain this till the end of the year. Hehehehe. :D :D :D

What's your diecast resolution for 2009?

Ferrari Racers - Reds

Hmmm...let me start my first toy car blog with a small "BANG". Hehehehe. :D

So, here it goes...

A month or so before the Christmas holidays, local toy stores like Toy Kingdom, Toys R Us, Kids Station and the likes has released the new series of Ferrari Racers. Upon knowing about it from fellow Ferrari collectors, I was determined to get all of the reds (I am an avid red collector). But unfortunately, the reds are the first one to disappear from the pegs especially the F430 Challenge. Literally, it was really a challenge to have one.

Then finally, on Christmas eve, I got to hold of this elusive item. A fine piece for a gift to myself I might say.

Then on Christmas day, a friend of mine arrived from abroad and sent me a text message saying he got me the small favor I have asked. A few days later he handed me this TRU bag.

Guess what's inside?

A set of 1:43 Ferrari Reds!!! Plus another 1pc each of the Enzo, F40 and F430!!!

You can imagine, I was jumping like a boy in glee.

To top it all, it was a Christmas gift!!! Thanks a lot Prep prep Mike!!! ;)

Then after the new year, I got to meet another friend...Jowee. He hand me this two as gifts also.

Thanks a lot too Bro Jowee!!! And Happy Birthday again!!! ;)

What a nice way to sign-off my collection year 2008. And I am so grateful to have such generous Santa friends. May GOD bless you always. :)

How about you, what did Santa gave you on Christmas Day and New Year?

BTW, you may view the entire album here. Thanks for lookin'. ;)
